Who We Are
Founder of Soccer Back Home
Hi, my name is Zach Seeve and I am the founder of Soccer Back Home. A little bit about me, I am 15 years old, I go to Montclair Kimberley Academy, and I am a huge fan of soccer. I have been a fan for as long as I can remember. As a result, I would constantly ask my parents for jerseys, cleats, hats, tickets and more. My needs began to get out a hand, and as a result, my parents had to sit me down and talk to me about how fortunate I am and that not everyone else can afford new cleats every year. Although I was only a kid, it got me thinking. How am I supposed to help out other kids who aren’t lucky enough to have what I have? To fix this, I started small, I would give my old jerseys to local foundations so they could be donated. Then my mom told me about how where she grew up in Peru, some of the schools and soccer teams in her area couldn’t afford uniforms, boots, and more. Then I knew exactly what to do. Over the summer I travelled to Peru to visit the schools along with their soccer teams so I could donate uniforms, cleats and other essentials. After this, I came up with Soccer Back Home.
WHAT WE DO
We reach out to friends, teammates and other fans of the game to raise funds to buy jerseys, shoes and equipment in Peru for young players in need. In this way, we not only help the kids like me who want to play but also the parents who are not burden with those expenses.
